The City of New Britain’s Home Ownership Program recently gave an opportunity to two families to buy their first homes at 63 and 66 Cottage Place. Mayor Erin Stewart is glad to restart this City program. “We are bringing our Home Ownership Program back to life.” said Mayor Stewart. “The program is targeted toward low-to-moderate income families. The goal of the program is to help families own their first home by providing a loan up to 20% of the purchase price. I’m glad we are seeing positive results from it.” If anyone is interested in finding more information, contact Deborah Anderson in the City’s Department of Community Development at 860-826-3459.
