June is LGBT Pride Month, and the New Britain Journal is pleased to announce the introduction of a more inclusive pride flag created by Valentino Vecchietti in 2021.
The above flag incorporates intersex representation within our Pride Flag, which is critical in changing the narrative surrounding intersex persons.
The most recent proposed alteration to the Progress Pride banner to include intersex people is not the first time the flag has been updated, as has been done several times since 1978.
Our efforts to become more inclusive should never cease; we are proud to work toward equality on a daily basis.
